Sizes, fit and positioning
| Application | Dimensions | Use rule | Positioning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elbow relief | 16 × 19 × 10 cm | Choose elbow use at fitting | Elbow should be lifted about 25 mm and strap must not compress |
| Heel relief | 16 × 19 × 10 cm | Choose heel use at fitting | Heel should be lifted about 25 mm and foot must remain aligned |
Fitting rule: the product should remain soft and flexible after inflation. The pressure-relieved body area must be lifted or supported without hard compression, strap marks or localised pressure. Skin condition, device position and air volume should be checked daily according to the care plan.
Setup and safety instructions
- Decide whether the protector will be used for the elbow or the heel; do not alternate between body areas during the same course of use.
- Remove the product from the packaging and unfold it.
- Insert the adapter or blowpipe into the self-closing valve.
- Inflate to about three quarters of its volume so the product stays soft and flexible.
- Close the valve carefully and apply the protective sticker if supplied.
- Place the elbow or foot in the bearing opening and close the strap over the limb.
- Check that the elbow or heel is lifted about 25 mm above the surface and that no strap pressure marks appear.
Important safety information: do not overinflate. A hard air cushion does not provide optimal pressure relief and may create unwanted pressure on the limb or soft tissue. Do not use steam cleaning, autoclaves, caustic chemicals, abrasive pads or sharp tools. Replace the product if it loses air, the outer layer is damaged or the fixing system no longer holds securely.
Medical device notice: this is a medical device. Use it according to the instructions for use, the product label and local clinical procedures.
