MP Seat All® Tailbone – reusable coccyx pressure relief cushion for multi-patient care
MP Seat All® Tailbone is a reusable, inflatable seat cushion designed to relieve the coccyx, sacrococcygeal area and anal region during prolonged sitting. The two air chambers and central cut-out transfer pressure away from the most sensitive midline area while supporting the buttocks and thighs. The Multi-Patient construction uses durable TPU/nylon, making it suitable for hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and loan-pool settings after proper disinfection.
Mobilex supplies this Levabo medical device from Łódź, Poland, with documentation and local support for healthcare professionals, institutions and home-care teams across Poland and the EU.

Who is MP Seat All® Tailbone for?
1. Hospitals, hospices and long-term care units
Useful where different patients need temporary coccyx pressure relief and the product must be disinfected between users.
2. Wheelchair users with sacrococcygeal discomfort
Supports seated positioning when the coccyx or anal area is especially sensitive.
3. Patients after radiotherapy or with haemorrhoid-related discomfort
The central cut-out can help avoid direct pressure on the anal and tailbone area when clinically appropriate.
Sizes, fit and positioning
| Model | Dimensions | Use mode | Positioning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seat All® Tailbone | 42 × 42 × 5 cm | Single-patient | For one user, up to 8 weeks |
| MP Seat All® Tailbone | 42 × 42 × 5 cm | Multi-patient after disinfection | Use cut-out up for focused coccyx/anal relief or reversed for general pressure distribution |
Fitting rule: the product should remain soft and flexible after inflation. The pressure-relieved body area must be lifted or supported without hard compression, strap marks or localised pressure. Skin condition, device position and air volume should be checked daily according to the care plan.
Setup and safety instructions
- Remove the cushion from the packaging and place it on a flat surface with the valve accessible.
- Insert the inflation adapter into the self-closing valve and inflate until the Stop Up® band breaks during first use.
- Close the valve securely and cover it if a protective sticker is supplied.
- Place the cushion on the chair or wheelchair with the cut-out facing up for focused coccyx and anal relief.
- For broader pressure distribution, reverse the cushion so the cut-out faces downward and the user sits on a continuous surface.
- Check that the user is supported approximately 25 mm above the base and that the cushion remains soft.
- Before the cushion is allocated to another patient, deflate, clean, disinfect and dry it completely.
Important safety information: do not overinflate. A hard air cushion does not provide optimal pressure relief and may create unwanted pressure on the limb or soft tissue. Do not use steam cleaning, autoclaves, caustic chemicals, abrasive pads or sharp tools. Replace the product if it loses air, the outer layer is damaged or the fixing system no longer holds securely.
Medical device notice: this is a medical device. Use it according to the instructions for use, the product label and local clinical procedures.

It is made from TPU/nylon and designed for reuse after cleaning and disinfection, including washing up to 95°C.
What area does the cushion relieve?
It relieves the coccyx, sacrococcygeal area and anal region by using two air chambers with a central cut-out.
Can it be used on a wheelchair?
Yes. The 42 × 42 cm size fits many standard wheelchair seats, provided the seat dimensions and posture are checked.
What is the reversed mode for?
When reversed, the cut-out faces down and the user sits on a continuous cushion surface for more general pressure distribution.
How much weight does it support?
The maximum user weight is 150 kg.
How should it be cleaned between patients?
Deflate the cushion, wash up to 95°C or disinfect chemically according to local procedures, then let it dry completely.

Does Stop Up® work every time?
Stop Up® is mainly for the first inflation. For later use, check the height and softness manually.
Is it suitable for home-care rental or loan pools?
Yes, when the responsible care provider follows validated cleaning and documentation procedures between users.
