Setup and safety instructions
- Remove the heel lifter from the clean flat package and unfold it on a stable surface.
- Open the hook-and-loop closure and insert the adapter or blowpipe into the self-closing valve.
- Inflate slowly until the Stop Up® band breaks during first inflation.
- Remove the adapter, close the valve and attach the protective valve cover if supplied.
- Open the side walls gently and place the patient’s foot into the heel lifter.
- Close the white strap and any coloured calf strap so the fit is secure but not tight.
- Check heel clearance by hand and repeat the check daily.
Important safety information: do not overinflate. A hard air cushion does not provide optimal pressure relief and may create unwanted pressure on the limb or soft tissue. Do not use steam cleaning, autoclaves, caustic chemicals, abrasive pads or sharp tools. Replace the product if it loses air, the outer layer is damaged or the fixing system no longer holds securely.
Medical device notice: this is a medical device. Use it according to the instructions for use, the product label and local clinical procedures.

The MP version is designed for repeated use after disinfection and can be washed up to 95°C. Single-patient PE versions are intended for one user only and lower washing temperatures.
When should the selected size be selected?
Choose the selected size when it gives stable support for the user’s lower leg without sliding, twisting or compressing the calf.

How high should the heel be lifted?
The heel should be lifted approximately 25 mm above the underlying surface unless a care protocol requires a different check.
Which disinfectants can be used?
The product supports thermal disinfection up to 95°C and compatible chemical methods such as 70% alcohol or chlorine solutions, according to local procedures.
What should be checked before using it for another patient?
Check that the product is clean, fully dry, airtight, undamaged and that the hook-and-loop closure and FIX strap hold securely.
Can it be used in home-care services?
Yes. It is useful for community nursing or loan-pool use where one device may support different patients after proper disinfection.
When must it be replaced?
Replace it if the air chamber leaks, the TPU/nylon surface is damaged, the strap no longer holds or the product cannot be cleaned safely.
